Inside Crystal River, Issue #76
October 16, 2026

Good morning, Crystal River! It's Friday, October 16, which is National Sports Day, and Crystal River High has the perfect way to mark it with Senior Night at tonight's game. Expect a warm one, with a high near 88 and a shower or isolated storm possible, so keep an eye on the sky if you're heading out. Saturday's low dips to about 59 and Sunday looks mostly sunny. What's your favorite Friday night tradition?

In the news, residents spoke up at the Betz Farm hearing, which ended without a vote, and a public records manager was fired after a sensitive 74-page document was released. Mark your calendar for Monday's 2050 Comprehensive Plan open house, and remember that today is an Early Dismissal day for students. Coffee with a Cop is at 9 a.m. at Target in Lecanto.

Looking ahead, the Fall Festival at Faith Lutheran runs Saturday morning, and Ghostbusters plays at Central Ridge Saturday evening with a costume contest at 6:30. Saturday also brings the Master Gardeners Plant Sale and a Gyro Festival in Lecanto. Live music is on at the Buoy Bar Saturday, then at The Shed, Crump's Landing and Brooks Dockside on Sunday. Spice Corner is serving Indian food in Crystal River today until 8:30. Who you gonna call? Whoever is bringing the lawn chairs.

Silver Miners Have Outrun Silver Since 2020

Since March 2020, silver has returned about 402%. The silver miners returned 445%.

That gap is the leverage our research team focuses on. When silver rises, a producer's net asset value can rise much faster, and share prices tend to follow. It works in both directions, and a mine is only as good as the company running it.

The Ultimate Silver Playbook shows how the team separates the miners worth owning from the rest, and which silver stocks are on its watchlist now. It's free.
