Inside Crystal River, Issue #86
October 26, 2026
Good morning, Crystal River, and happy Monday! It's a mostly sunny start to the week with a high of 80, a low of 65 and a breeze up to about 17 mph. Today is National Day of the Deployed, a fitting nod to the Chronicle's Veterans Day tribute, so here's a question: do you have a military service photo you'd share with your neighbors?
In the news, the Board of County Commissioners meets today at 1 p.m. at the courthouse in Inverness, and the county says there's still time to weigh in on the Comprehensive Plan draft. Nature Coaster has a reminder to check your sprinkler timer before the clocks fall back Nov. 1, and Crystal River Preserve State Park reminds hikers that pets must stay leashed on park trails. On the field, Seven Rivers Christian beat Bishop Snyder 52-34.
Looking ahead, Books & Babies Halloween storytimes with costume parades are at Lakes Region Library today and Homosassa Public Library Tuesday, and the Graveyard Glow up paint night lights up Bowlero at 6 PM. Trivia is Tuesday and the Open Music Jam is Wednesday at Bree's Riverside Restaurant, and Wednesday also brings the first-ever CCSO Trunk or Treat in Inverness. No food trucks or restaurant specials are listed, so reply and tell us your favorites. Make it a glow-in-the-dark good week!

Silver Miners Have Outrun Silver Since 2020
Since March 2020, silver has returned about 402%. The silver miners returned 445%.
That gap is the leverage our research team focuses on. When silver rises, a producer's net asset value can rise much faster, and share prices tend to follow. It works in both directions, and a mine is only as good as the company running it.
The Ultimate Silver Playbook shows how the team separates the miners worth owning from the rest, and which silver stocks are on its watchlist now. It's free.
