Why are so many brands shifting ad spend to CTV?

People spend more time streaming than they do with cable, social media or video games, and advertisers know it. In fact, according to Advertiser Perceptions and Premion's 2026 CTV/OTT Advertiser Survey, 70% of advertisers are raising CTV budgets in 2026, with much of that budget diverted from social advertising.

For marketers who want a presence in streaming, Roku is the obvious place to go, with scale that speaks for itself. With more than 100 million households representing 47% of all streaming time in the US, Roku easily has more reach than every competitor.

With Roku Ads Manager, you can reach viewers across more than 100 premium apps in a single buy. Combine your customer data with Roku's insights to reach only the households you want, then measure and optimize to your heart's content.

Want to give it a try? Unleash your first campaign in just four steps: (1) Create your account, (2) define your objective and target audience, (3) upload creative, and (4) launch.

First-time spenders get a $5,000 match on the first $5,000 spent with code BEEHIIV5K. Terms apply.

Inside Crystal River, Issue #92
November 1, 2026

Good morning, Crystal River, and welcome to Sunday, November 1. The clocks fell back overnight, so we hope you enjoyed the extra hour of sleep. Expect showers and a few storms today, with a high of 80 and a 53 percent chance of rain, so keep an umbrella handy. It's also National Calzone Day, so here's a question for you: which Citrus County spot makes the best one?

In the news, the time change is the theme of the day. Citrus County Fire Rescue is asking everyone to test their smoke alarms, and the county has a reminder to check your irrigation controller so it doesn't water at 11 p.m. Election Day is Tuesday, HCA Florida Citrus Hospital earned national recognition from Healthgrades, and Seven Rivers Christian advanced in the football playoffs. You'll also find a new photo display at Crystal River Archaeological State Park and a public meeting on the Inverness Airport Master Plan.

Out and about, there's a reptile expo in Inverness today, a Sunday matinee of Misery at the Valerie Theatre, and live music from KennaDee at Peck's Old Port Cove. Monday brings the Little Mermaid show at Mertailor's Aquarium and a trivia night at The Barrel Bar and Grille, and the Unlimited Shaved Ice Cafe is serving at Howard's Flea Market in Homosassa today. We don't have any restaurant specials this time, so reply and tell us your favorite spot. Enjoy your Sunday, and don't forget to reset that sprinkler timer!
